My steps along the way
When the pastor of our former church asked me to share my story, I said, “Sure, I’d love to.” He asked that I share about growing up in domestic violence, my connection to church, share some hope, and “Oh by the way, do it in 7-minutes.” Gulp! I said, “I can’t tell my story in 7-minutes.” He insisted I could. I insisted I couldn’t. After spending many years processing the hand I was dealt, or whatever you want to call it, where does one begin to sum it up? If you listen to my testimony, you’ll understand why I said, “I’ll give you the best short version I can.”
